Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 13, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how i1n ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our localization infrastructure platform (the "Service").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: email address, name, and organization details provided during registration.
Usage data: API calls, CLI commands, feature usage, translation volume, and performance metrics.
Translation content: keys, values, metadata, and namespace structures you submit for translation and storage.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and access logs.
Payment information: billing details are processed and stored by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) process translations and manage your projects; (c) communicate with you about your account, billing, and Service updates; (d) monitor and enforce usage limits and fair use policies; (e) ensure security, detect fraud, and prevent abuse.
We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not build advertising profiles or sell your data to advertisers.
4. AI Translation and Your Content
Your translation content is processed by third-party AI models to generate translations. We send only the text content required for translation — no account information or metadata is shared with AI providers.
Content on paid plans (Pro, Business, Enterprise) is treated as confidential and is not used to train AI models or contributed to shared caches unless you explicitly opt in.
On the free Starter plan, translations may be contributed to a shared public cache to benefit all users. Only translated string values are cached — no personally identifiable information, project names, or key names are included.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service: (a) cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare, Vercel); (b) payment processing (Stripe); (c) AI translation providers; (d) email communications (transactional emails only).
We may also disclose information: (a) when required by law, regulation, or legal process; (b) to protect the rights, safety, or property of i1n or others; (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to affected users.
All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest; API keys are hashed using one-way cryptographic functions; access controls and audit logging for internal systems.
Enterprise plans include additional security features such as dedicated private caches and isolated data storage.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data and translation content within 30 days.
Certain data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., billing records for tax compliance) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., aggregated, anonymized analytics).
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions.
Where required by law, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant regulatory authorities.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) export your data in a portable format; (e) object to or restrict certain processing; (f) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), these rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For California residents, additional rights may apply under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Cookies and Local Storage
The marketing site (i1n.ai) uses local storage only to save your language preference. No tracking cookies or analytics scripts are used on the marketing site.
The dashboard (dashboard.i1n.ai) uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are strictly necessary and cannot be opted out of while using the Service.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
13. Contact
For privacy-related questions, data access requests, or complaints, contact us at [email protected].
If you are in the EEA and believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
